In case any of you are wondering why we have not posted any Halloween pictures, it is because Will chose the night before to start running a high fever. I guess it was just a fever virus because it left us as quickly as it came, but it definitely ruined Halloween. By Halloween night, his fever was pretty much gone so we took him over to Mimi and Bips' street to visit a few of the neighbors who wanted to see him. After forcing him screaming and kicking into his frog costume (not because he was sick, but because he screams and kicks pretty much everytime I try to get him dressed) we decided to hurry up the street, make our stops, and not take any pictures! None of us really wanted to remember the night. So, you can scroll down and take a look at our preview picture of the frog if you haven't seen it yet. Thankfully, we took that one.
Onto other news. The doctor's office called this week to set up my C-section for Baby Sarah. We now know that unless something changes, she will be joining us on Monday, December 18th. We are really excited and really looking forward to meeting her!!! We're also enjoying the last 6 weeks of our little family of three. So far, my platelets seem to be hovering above 100 which is good. If they drop below 100, and they are not able to get them up with steroid treatment before the delivery date, they will have to put me to sleep to perform the C-section. Obviously, this is not something that I want to happen! They are monitoring me very closely, so we should know as soon as they drop. Please keep me and my platelets, or lack thereof, in your prayers. :)
Will talks more and more about "Baby Seerah" as he calls her. He finds old baby toys stored around the house and brings them to me and says, "Baby Seerah". He kisses my tummy a few times everyday and pats it often. He's really starting to notice other babies that we run into out and about. I held someone else's baby for them for quite a while at one of his Halloween parties, and instead of being jealous he seemed intrigued by it. We'll see if that continues when it's his own sister. :)
As for other Will developments...he is talking up a storm! He says just about EVERYTHING that we say, meaning we are starting to have to be very careful about saying things we don't want repeated! :) We were laughing today about how he talks pretty slowly and pronounces every word very carefully, and will usually repeat the word until he gets it almost exactly like we said it. He's starting to use little sentences like, "I see Daddy's rake." It's so nice to have him telling us exactly what's bothering him and/or what he needs. Will is very attached to a lot of his stuffed animals! He usually has 8-10 of them in his crib at a time, and he carts them all over the house. He likes to tell them to "sit" and then he'll go find a book and "read" it to them. He gives them his juice and his snacks, and he is always giving them kisses and hugs. Will's favorite thing to do right now is work out in the yard. He LOVES to go out and rake, dig with the shovel, and push his lawnmower around the yard. Of course, it's even better if Daddy is home and he can help him with the blower. He also loves to gather up laundry to put in the washer. He moved a stepstool out of a closet and into the laundry in front of the washer. Everytime he sees clothes lying around he'll pick them up and run into the laundry room to throw them in. I'm not complaining! :) That's all I'll bore you with right now. I'm going to look to see if I have any pictures to post. Hope you all have a really good week!
