Well, it's day 9 and we're all still alive :) Not only are we alive, but things are actually going really well. Sarah is still eating well, and sleeping all night except when I wake her to feed her every couple hours. Since she's sleeping so well, we're getting plently of sleep. So, so far, we've avoided those dreaded first sleepless nights.
Will continues to be the sweetest big brother. He loves to point things out to her, loves to hold her, and tries his best to help me take care of her. He's been great about playing on his own or sitting with me while I feed her. My favorite story so far is this one...we were on our way home from the pediatrician's office and Sarah started to fuss. From the backseat, we heard a little voice tell her, "we're almost there, Baby Girl." I'm pretty sure it made me cry, it was so sweet!
I'll go ahead and give a huge shout-out to my mom, dad, and brother. I'm not sure we would have made it through the last week without them! They've been soo helpful taking care of Will and me. I am pretty helpless right now not being able to drive or lift anything other than the baby. They've been a huge help! We've also had numerous friends bringing us food, and coming to stay with me while Stephen has been flying. We really appreciate all of them too!
The person I appreciate the most right now is Stephen! He has done such a great job keeping up with the house, and Will, and me, and the animals...oh yeah, and going to work. :) I couldn't have survived this week without him!
That's it from the inside...thanks to all of you who have called to check up on us or sent or done stuff for us...we REALLY appreciate it! Here's a few pics from our first week home.
