Finally updated. I know it has been a while but we have finally updated the blog. We have had a lot going on this summer, so I will try to hit the major stuff. We will never get behind on the blog again...right.
Jenni, Mimi and the kids took a road trip to the beach a couple weeks ago. Jenni's aunt invited them to stay at the condo they rented. Jenni never misses an opportunity to go to the beach. Based on the pictures, I can't blame her.

I think someone got "suckered" into buying them candy.
Part of our summer time ritual is our anniversary and my Birthday, which are only three days apart. We always spend the night at Ross Bridge. Jenni's parents then graciously bring the kids over the next day to play in the pool that has a huge slide.
It was a very happy birthday.

Summer time is also lake time. We have made several trips to the lake. The kids can't get enough of the water and the boats.
Buff and I got to go for a little "evening swim" when the fuel pump went out on the boat.
Bring on the English Channel.
Always ready for a boat ride.
Life doesn't get much better.
We even found a rope swing with our friends, Catherine and Brent.
We also took a trip to Mississippi to see Aunt Andree and the newly arrived, Baby David. Sarah, being all girl, could not wait to see the baby. I don't think she was disappointed. Aunt Andree always treats us like royalty
I think he gets his good looks from his God Father.
The kids think that it makes great slushies. The adults know what it really does well.
Curious George is ALWAYS a favorite around our house...
...so the kids were especially excited that Uncle Tim could read it to them all the way from Iraq.

We have also spent a lot of time outdoors. Mimi and Bips' pool provides hours of entertainment. As an added benefit, naps and nights are very long.
In the beginning of the summer, Will was wearing water wings and wouldn't jump in.
As you can see...
...a lot can happen over the summer.
The hard part now is keeping him out of the pool.
What would summer be without Popsicles?
In June, Grandma and Grandpa came to visit us. The kids always enjoy the ceremonial trip to the airport to pick up Grandma and Grandpa.
They always bring their " 'noculars " to watch out for arriving airplanes.
