Some of the Christmas pictures...more coming

Here are a few of our December pictures. I have a billion more, but they will have to wait until I return from Salt Lake. Stephen has a trip out there for 8 days (he is there now), so I am going to fly out on Tuesday and then fly back with them on Saturday. Thanks, to my Uncle Fred and Aunt Mary for letting us stay at their place in Park City, and thanks to Grandpa Hertz for letting me use a buddy pass to fly out there! A big thank you to my parents for agreeing to watch the wild indians while we are gone!! I am really getting excited about it! I think it will be a blast. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

BIRTHDAYS, BIRTHDAYS, BIRTHDAYS

That's what we've been doing! Bips' birthday was on December 5th, Sarah's on the 6th, and Grandma's on the 8th! Needless to say, we ate a lot of cake that weekend!!
Now we're busy getting prepared to celebrate the most important birthday of them all...
We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!!

PS...you're Christmas card could be a little late this year...like I said, it's been busy around here! :)

Happy Birthday, Dad/Bips! We Love You!

"Pink Party!"

Sarah turned 2 on December 6th!! We had a small get together with family and couple friends. Sarah requested "peeezzza!" for lunch and whenever I asked her what kind of cake she wanted for her birthday, she replied, "PINK!" So, Sarah got a pink cake and pink punch. She got a lot of "girly" presents (finally) including a baby doll and playhouse for her room. The only glitch came after the party when Daddy and Mommy realized that she had opened some of her Christmas presents up for her birthday!! oooops! Luckily for us, she's only 2 and might not notice that she'll have a little less at Christmas! I knew it seemed like she was opening a lot of presents...
Anyway, here are a few pictures...

Happy 2nd Birthday, Sar-Bear!

Did I mention...

That Sarah has the most contagious laugh I've ever heard? Will is really the only one that can really get her going. Here's a clip from dinner one night.

Miss Priss

Sarah's doing well. She is getting cuter by the day! Sarah is really starting to talk a lot and is attempting to talk in sentences, which is hilarious. Sometimes it takes her a minute to get the whole sentence out, but she does it. She loves to sing (Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star is her favorite) She also loves to follow Will around and do whatever he is doing. I am knocking on wood as I write this, but they have really been playing well together lately. They still fight, but not nearly as much. They are starting to realize that if they are nice, they can genuinely enjoy playing together. FINALLY!
Sarah LOVES shoes! In the morning, she will usually ask to put her shoes on before we've even put her diaper on. It's hilarious! She also loves to run out into the den or kitchen to show her Daddy her outfit and her hair everyday after it's been fixed. Very cute! She still loves the animals, and is always running around trying to give them kisses. Speaking of kisses, she gives Stephen and I some of the best bear hugs and does a really dramatic kissing sound all the time. Most of the time, it's completely random, and she will just run over and give us a big hug and kiss. Talk about endearing.
She's definitely a girl. All drama all the time. She knows what she wants and makes a valiant attempt at getting it day in and day out. Luckily, we're still one step ahead of her for now. All we have to do is look at her sideways and she will fall apart. Very dramatic.
Most days, she's really good about running around town with me while I do my errands. When we are at home, she is excellent at finding something to play with to keep herself entertained. She also loves to look at books! We are 2 weeks away from Sweet Sarah's 2nd birthday. It is so hard to believe that 2 years have passed! When we talk about her birthday, she throws her hands up in the air and say "Yay!! CAKE!!! PINK!!" So, it looks like she's going to have a pink cake :) We'll have a small family get together for cake, ice cream, and presents. Stephen and I might, also, take the birthday girl to one of her favorite places..."CHEESE!!" Otherwise known as Chuck E. Cheese. It should be a great day!
We are so, so thankful for Sarah. She's the best little girl anyone could ever want! We love you, Sar-Bear!

Grandpa's trip to BHM

Last week, Grandpa called us to tell us he had a quick trip to BHM. So, we got dressed quickly and headed down to the airport. The kids got to watch Grandpa land, and Will even got to ride on Grandpa's airplane from one FBO to the other. Sarah, still a little skittish around the big airplanes, elected to stay with Mommy. Will had a great time and talked about it the rest of the day. You would not have known what a good time he had just after they got off the airplane, because he also scored a large box of jelly belly's which, at the time, trumped the airplane. You know kids and candy... :) It was good to see Grandpa, and we always love a fun trip to the airport! See you next time, Grandpa! :)
