Mr. Man turned 7 months old yesterday. Really hard to believe. I forgot how much I love this age. They’re sleeping well, and it seems like they learn something new every day. Luke has this little gleam in his eyes when he watches Will and Sarah that worries me a bit, but luckily I know I have a couple more months with him as a “baby”. He’s up on all 4’s and rocking back and forth, but not going anywhere yet. I suspect that my 8 month update will include crawling as his major accomplishment, although I’d be perfectly happy if he waited until he was 10 months old!! Luke continues to have the sweetest personality. It is rare that he gets upset, mostly when he’s exhausted and just can’t take it anymore. As the third child, he gets drug around town quite a bit, and is usually happy to go with the flow. This month, he went on 2 field trips-to the zoo and to the farm, and is looking forward to his first plane ride later this month as he and I travel up to Alexandria, VA for my cousin, Art’s, graduation celebration.

Luke continues to be an excellent eater, and hasn’t turned his nose up at anything since the avocado. This time around, I am making the baby food. That has worked out pretty well, because he seems to like his food chunkier rather than thin. The few times I have bought baby food to give him, he wasn’t a big fan of the thinness. Like father like son. He started eating puffs. Chasing them around on his tray keeps him busy for quite a while, and usually 1 out of every 10 might make it into his mouth—no one was more excited to see the booster highchair come out than Jack and LE!! He has also enjoyed a few teething cookies. I forgot how extremely disgusting those things get and what a big mess they make, but again, keeps him busy!! Luke is practicing with his sippy cup. Seems to be a good teether for him.
Did I mention that 3rd children kind of have to “go with the flow"? :)
But, there are also lots of perks!
Big sisters give some great hugs…
…and never let you run out of toys to play with.
That’s all folks!
